Calculator Data

The calculations you run — vendor costs, budget amounts, and tip totals — are worked out in your web browser. We do not save the individual figures you type to any account or database on our servers.

Two things do leave your browser, and we want to be clear about them. First, when you complete a calculation, our analytics sends an aggregate event value — for example, the total tip amount or total budget — to Google Analytics so we can see how the tools are used. These values are attached to anonymous usage events, not to your name or email. Second, if you choose to save a draft (see "Saved Drafts" below), that draft is stored on your own device and is never sent to us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site. This includes pages visited, time on site, general geographic location (country/city level), and aggregate event values from the calculators, such as a total tip or total budget figure as described above. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or decline analytics cookies using the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

Email & Newsletter

If you ask us for the tipping cheat sheet, we collect the email address you enter and, if you provide it, your optional wedding month. We use this to:

• send you the cheat sheet you requested;
• send occasional wedding-planning emails, which may include a short welcome-and-follow-up sequence timed around your wedding month.

To do this we share your email with the service providers that run our forms and email delivery: Netlify Forms (stores the submission), MailerLite (manages the subscriber list and planning-email sequence), and Resend (delivers the cheat-sheet email). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of any email we send, and we will stop sending you planning emails.

Purchases

If you buy our paid digital product, The Wedding Money Kit, the purchase is processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects and handles your payment information — including your card details, which we never see or store — along with the billing details and any tax information needed to complete the sale. We receive only the limited order information required to deliver your download and provide support, such as your email address and what you purchased. Lemon Squeezy's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Saved Drafts

The tip calculator and the payment-schedule calculator can save a working draft — things like the vendors you picked, the amounts you entered, and which payments you have marked paid — in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. This draft stays on your own device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

Advertising

This site may display advertisements through Google AdSense. When ads are enabled, Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites across the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Cookies & Local Storage

This site uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries:

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics (for example _ga) to measure site usage, once you accept the cookie banner.
• Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense only when advertising is enabled, as described above.
• Local storage — your cookie-consent choice and any calculator drafts you save are stored in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and decline analytics cookies using the banner on your first visit. Clearing your browser's site data will also remove any saved drafts and your consent choice.
