Wedding Florist Tipping Guide
Florist tips are less standardized than other vendors. Here's how to decide if and how much to tip.

Standard Tip Range
$50-$200 total
Standard tip range
$50 to $200 total, not per person. Florist tips are on the lower end compared to other vendors. If your floral package was complex with ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception arrangements, go higher. For a simple bouquet-only order, lower is fine.
Owner vs delivery team
If the florist owner personally delivered and set up your arrangements, a tip is optional but nice. If they sent a delivery team, tip those workers directly. They're the ones hauling heavy arrangements and setting up in the heat or cold.
When setup matters
A florist who just drops off bouquets is different from one who spends three hours installing a floral arch and centerpieces. Tip based on effort. Complex installations deserve $150 to $200. Simple deliveries, $50 is fine.
When to tip
Tip the delivery person or setup team when they finish. Don't wait until the end of the night since they'll be long gone by then. Have the envelope ready when they arrive.

Open CalculatorFrequently Asked Questions
Do I tip if flowers are delivered the day before?
Yes, tip the delivery person at drop-off. They still did the work, regardless of timing.
What if my florist is also my friend?
A tip still makes sense since they did professional work. Or give a thoughtful gift after the wedding. Don't let friendship mean their effort goes unacknowledged.
